A very neglected corner of my garden, bordering the workshop wall. A couple of years ago I started digging the grass out & laying slabs with the intention of having a patio. It was slow going……..

Eventually it started to take shape. Putting the top soil in the old tin bath was not one of my brightest ideas……I had to then shovel it into buckets to distribute it around the garden. This was about as far as I got. Last year I lost all my enthusiasm for doing anything. It was a completely lost year. Sitting around wondering what the future held. How would Covid shape our future lives? Fast forward to early Spring 2021 & my enthusiasm was back, by late March it was looking like this.

Still a long way to go, but it was taking shape & giving some very welcome colour to the garden. I have been working on it whenever I can. Which translates to whenever the weather has been warm, which hasn’t happened a lot this past month. This afternoon has been put aside for watering & deadheading. I’ll post an updated picture when I’m done………..

This is where I’m at now. I’ve looked around at the hanging baskets & I reckon I have a few nastertiums poking their heads up, two sweetcorn seedlings & one sunflower. If the weather stays this warm I’m hoping for good things later on, especially when the 24 geraniums I’m potting on start to flower, alongside the 6 fuchias I’m also doing.
Good for you Meike, gardening you can add to everything I’m hopeless at. With that space, personally I’d construct a little sun trap for sitting and reading, with a can of beer maybe.

Yes, I sat out there, this afternoon. The sun is still a bit hit & miss here at the moment, but fingers crossed it will warm up soon…..☀️🌻
